RNG tables and live tables are not the same product
A live table runs on a shared timer: a dealer, physical equipment, and a betting window that closes whether or not you are ready. An RNG table runs on yours. There is no round in progress when you arrive, no other players to wait for and no minimum pace — you can spend a minute deciding one blackjack hand, or play forty hands in that same minute.
The consequences show up in stakes and availability. RNG tables carry lower minimums than staffed studio tables because there is no floor cost per seat, and every variant is open at once rather than limited to whichever tables are currently running. How the deal is generated and checked
Every result comes from a random number generator, and each hand, spin or roll is drawn independently of the last. The shoe does not remember what it dealt, which is why card counting has nothing to work with on an RNG blackjack table — the deck is reshuffled between hands by construction.
Studios submit their generators to independent test houses, which sample large volumes of output and certify that the distribution matches what the paytable claims. Certification confirms the maths is what it says it is. It does not remove the house edge, which is built into the rules of each game rather than into the generator.
House edge, stakes and devices
The headline figures are well known: European roulette holds around 2.7% on the main bets, American roughly double that, blackjack under 1% played to basic strategy. The bigger differences are inside a single table. On blackjack, side bets such as Perfect Pairs and 21+3 carry several times the edge of the main hand; on sic bo the gap between the narrowest and widest bet is enormous. Each table publishes its paytable and rule set on screen before you place anything — that screen is what separates the 1% version of a game from the 5% version, because the covers look identical.
